Its been a while since I last posted something, a lot has happened to me personally, its like just peeling the layers on an onion till you are left with the body itself, hell am still peeling the layers.
So anyhow, I sort of have a bit of an issue I won’t really call it an issue, its more of a compulsion, usually when you enter a field/domain or want to perform a task, you just see how it has been done and you just do it, surely it is not rocket science, well that’s where this compulsion hits, I find myself trying to understand exactly what the field/domain really is, I try and peel every single layer of it till there is nothing left again to peel, and I am left with a very simple definition of what the field really is.
This takes lots of time by the way, I understand a bit, create a framework that explains it, for some reason, the moment I go back to that framework I see that my current understanding has outgrown the framework totally, its a recursive activity until there is nothing left to deconstruct.
So why am I even writing this, I don’t know, just felt like it, why are you reading it, maybe you also felt like it.
So back to this whole deconstruction thingy, I really feel I can apply this to lots of complex systems, I mean we as a society tend to get carried away with the ‘How’ and not the ‘Why’, most people don’t even understand why things work the way they work, that’s fine until something breaks.
The whole world is literally just an assumption machine, everything works on the logic of assumptions, no one even bothers to question the assumptions. “This stock will always go up”, lol, why do you think so, “The Bullish investor said so”, ask the Bullish investor why they think the stock would always go up, “They believe in the stock, and the stock has good tech”, but if you have an inkling of a brain you would see that the reason why anyone would believe the stock will always go up, is because they believe the word of an individual that believes in the “stock” and the “tech” but the “Bullish” Investor just has about 90% of their life savings in it so the stock has to go up for their sake (lol).
So what am just saying is we are currently living in an age of increasing abstraction, the higher the abstraction, the lower people try and understand things at the foundational layer, and that’s where the fun part really is.
Don’t get intimidated by complex jargon, bro no one cares about a “treasury backed financial system that utilizes a bond system at lucrative APYs that utilizes long term vesting”, bro its literally just a ponzi scheme, most guys just try to hide behind domain jargon to hide the fact that they don’t understand what they are talking about.
If you cannot simplify a concept down to its foundational term, so that a child can even understand it, then I don’t think you understand the concept.
We live in an era whereby prestige and status has been attached to things that a couple of years back were termed as “nerdy”, we have so many AI bros, you would think they built AGI on their toaster, Crypto bros, but they don’t understand the concept of what a blockchain or what decentralization really is, as long as their “FuckShitba” coin goes to the moon.
So many AI Wrapper startups, and questionable VC fundings brooooo, its a shit show at this point.
“Programming is dead”, “My 20 agents working in parallel”, listening to any of these naysayers just puts you at a disadvantage, learn to find truths for yourself.
The people saying programming is dead, were never programmers to start with or even understood that programming was more of a cognitive task than a manual execution task, these guys never developed the cognitive aspect of it at all and it literally shows in their decisions, programming or any creative activity is 90% cognitive.
I mean if you cannot sit with not knowing something till you do, you are NGMI.
So stay strong boys and gals, I got a bit carried away with this post, I can’t even remember what I started off with and here I am, anyhow life is good, and to God be the glory, please read your bible as a guide, whatever thing you are currently going through, you aren’t the first or the last to go through it, so the bible is a neat reference for that, learn how individuals across history have lived and document their experiences.
